Dear Trinity Parents, Leaders and Teachers,

As we make plans to be safe for the beginning of this upcoming work week, tomorrow morning can serve as a time to come together and pray for those who have already lost their lives in Hurricane Sandy and for those who will continue to be impacted by the storm.  Based on the weather reports, it appears that we should all be safe until the evening, so we are continuing with a regular schedule for our time together tomorrow.  

I am pleased to announce that we have been given an additional day for Christmas Pageant Taping and ask that those who were here last week return and highly encourage 2nd-5th Grade children to come and join in!  Tomorrow, we will be taping those who joined us last week and giving scripts out to those who were not able to attend in preparation for thefollowing Sunday.  

Please note: 2nd-5th Grade will have a combined and regular Sunday School class in the Family Gathering Space this week for those who will tape thefollowing Sunday.

• 2^nd-5^th Grade children who were in the tv studio last week will be brought to the TV studio at 10:00am on the 4^th Floor to tape portions of the Christmas Pageant.  Those who were not in attendance will have a regularly scheduled class in the Family Gathering Space and tape the following Sunday, November 4th.

• Family Gathering Time begins at 9:45am, and all classes will run on a normal schedule from 10:00-11:00am tomorrow.

        Last night, over 100 Trinity Pre-School, Sunday School and Family Friday friends

            came together for our 3rd Floor Halloween Party!  We enjoyed crafts, a movie showing,

pumpkin pie, cupcakes and lots of fun!  Many thanks to all of you who shared this time with us!

Tomorrow, join The Rev. Stephanie Johnson and learn her thoughts on stewardship, the environment, and the Joseph story. Johnson works for theEpiscopal Bishops of New England providing support to nearly 600 congregations in reducing their carbon footprint and coordinates a Food, Faith and Farming project for the Episcopal Diocese of New York. She wonthe 2011 St Francis Philanthropic Award for Preaching on Creation Care.  

Tuesday Discovery Series: O God, Do Not be Silent

October 30th, 6:00-7:30pm,  Parish Hall, 74 Trinity Place

This Tuesday, join Ralph De La Rosa for : God's Unlikely Messengers: TheSpiritual Psychology of Loving Our Enemies Ralph De La Rosa is a survivor and an explorer with an interdisciplinary spiritual background. Since 2008, he has taught countless Buddhist-inspired classes and workshops all over NYC, including with The Interdependence Project, Trinity Church Wall St., and in behavioral health environments. He is currently finishing a Master's degree in Social Work at Fordham University, interning as a psychotherapist, hosting weekly meditation classes, and managing a yoga studio in Brooklyn.

Safechurch Training with Dr. Kathy Bozzuti-Jones

Tomorrow! Sunday, October 28th, 1:00-4:00pm, 3^rd Floor, 74 Trinity Place

This training is designed to increase awareness regarding sexual misconduct and abuse of power, to outline steps toward preventing abuse, to offer ways to intervene when misconduct occurs and to equip anyone in a position of parish leadership with ways of healing and rebuilding the body of Christ.  Safechurch Training is required of all Sunday School teachers and leaders as well as lay staff and clergy who work with children and youth, but is also recommended for all parishioners to help keep our community safe.

Pie Club: Pecan Pie with Guest Chef Merida Gorman

Tomorrow! Sunday, October 28th, 2:00-5:00pm,  Meet on 2^nd Floor, Parish Hall and Parish Kitchen, 74 Trinity Place

Join this group of adults and families and learn the art of homemade Pecan Pie with no corn syrup! Using the crust we prepared from last session, we will begin by making pies to give away to a variety of Trinity’s ministries! Come away with one homemade pie to share with your family this session!

Reception for all who walked to end Breast Cancer this past month!

Friday, November 2^nd from 6:00-7:00pm, Parlor of 74 Trinity Place 

More than forty youth and their families marched together with Trinity this past Sunday for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer thanks to our partnership with Faith in Action! Faith in Action and Trinity Youth Groups would like to invite all those who walked in the Avon Walk or Making Strides Against Breast Cancer fundraisers for a special reception this upcoming Friday, November 2nd in the Parlor.  Weren't able to join us but still would like to support the cause?  Go to Making Strides and donate under "Team Trinity Church" to help us meet our goal of $2,000!

Please stay safe this week and help join us in prayers for the safety of all those impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
